Are your employees working remotely during the coronavirus lockdowns? If so, I’d like to propose an important point for you to consider.

Coronavirus Results in Remote Work

As a result of the Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) outbreak, many organizations have asked their employees to work from home.

Fortunately, cloud-based communication tools like Slack, Zoom, etc have made this transition easier. However, there’s one important point that I’d recommend HR executives to consider.

Impact of Remote Work on Employee Engagement

One of the adverse impacts of remote work can be the effect it has on employee engagement.

When employees don’t get to meet their coworkers and manager face-to-face on a daily basis, their engagement can decline.

If you’re an HR executive, this is an area I’d recommend you to spend some of your time on – i.e. what are the things you can do to keep employee engagement at a healthy level even during remote work. After all, higher employee engagement is proven to provide many significant benefits.
